How BrawlBetter works

BrawlBetter turns a photo of your Ranked draft screen into a coached decision. Below is everything the app does, and where the numbers behind the advice come from.

From screenshot to advice

  1. 1Create a free account — that unlocks your daily scans.
  2. 2Link your Brawl ID by typing your tag or scanning your in-game QR code.
  3. 3Open a Ranked draft and photograph the screen with your phone.
  4. 4Upload the photo in the scan wizard and read the recommended pick and its reasoning.
  5. 5After the last pick, add a photo of the final draft for positioning and focus coaching.
  6. 6After the game, open Matches to see your draft grade and the better alternatives.

Every feature explained

1. The draft scanner

Take a photo of the Ranked draft screen and upload it. Our vision model reads the map, the mode, both teams and your pick position. You never type anything manually — but you can correct a brawler if the recognition slips.

  • Detects your team, the enemy team and which picks are still open.
  • Pick position (first, middle or last) is derived from the draft state itself, not guessed.
  • Advice comes back in about five seconds.

2. The advice engine

Every recommendation is built from real win-rate data collected from top-player battle logs, weighted by map, mode and the current balance patch — not from a hand-written tier list.

  • Map data, mode data and global data are blended with sample-size weighting, so a brawler with 20 matches never outranks one with 900 on noise alone.
  • Data uses a rolling 21-day window and discounts matches from before the latest balance update.
  • Counter reasoning is concrete: which enemy you punish, with which gadget or star power, and why.
  • You always see the weighting behind the pick: map fit, counter risk, blind-pick safety and team composition.

3. Final-draft coaching

Once all six picks are locked, add a photo of the finished draft and get a tactical plan instead of just a pick.

  • Your role in the comp and where you should stand.
  • Which enemy to focus and which one to avoid.
  • Win conditions and the mistakes that usually lose this matchup.

4. Match analysis

Link your Brawl ID (type it or scan your in-game QR code) and we pull your recent Ranked games automatically.

  • Matches are bundled per Ranked series, because Ranked is best-of-three.
  • Each draft gets a score from 0 to 10 — red, orange or green at a glance.
  • You see your own draft grade separately from the team's, plus the picks that would have been stronger.
  • Player scores and K/D from the match are included in the summary.

5. Meta builds

For every Ranked-relevant brawler we show the gadget, star power and gears that top players actually run.

  • Backed by the same win-rate dataset as the draft advice.
  • Plain-language explanation of what each choice does for your playstyle.
  • Official icons so you can find the right item in-game instantly.

6. The Academy

The part that makes you independent of the tool. Classes, modes, draft rules and terminology explained in plain language.

  • What sharpshooters, controllers, assassins and tanks actually do.
  • How each Ranked mode is won, and what a draft needs to win it.
  • How to read a draft yourself instead of copying picks.

7. AI coach chat

Premium members can ask follow-up questions about a draft, a matchup or a build and get an answer that uses the same data as the advice engine.

Where the data comes from

We continuously collect Ranked battle logs from high-level players through the official Brawl Stars API. Those matches are stored per map, per mode and per balance patch. When a new balance update lands we detect it automatically, log it on the patch notes page and start discounting older matches, so the advice follows the meta instead of lagging behind it.

Small samples are pulled toward the broader average, so a brawler is only recommended on a specific map when there is enough evidence for that map. If not, the advice falls back to mode data and then global data — and it tells you which level it used.

Linking your Brawl ID

Open your Brawl Stars profile, show your friend QR code and scan it with BrawlBetter — or type your player tag manually. We only read public profile and battle data; we never ask for your Supercell login.

What it costs

A free account gives you daily scans at no cost. Basic and Premium raise the daily limit and Premium adds the AI coach chat.
